Max Silverman

Max Silverman began his career with Petrie Partners in 2014. Max has completed over two dozen mergers, joint ventures, divestitures, acquisitions and financings totaling more than $85 billon. Prior to joining Petrie, Max worked offshore and in various financial analyst roles for several drilling contractors.

Max’s notable transactions include the restructuring of Extraction Oil & Gas and the mergers of Extraction Oil & Gas with Bonanza Creek Energy and the concurrent acquisition of Crestone Peak Resources to form Civitas Resources, Noble's mergers with Clayton Williams and Rosetta Resources, California Resource Corporation’s midstream JV with Ares Capital, the business combination of Tema Oil & Gas with the KLR Energy SPAC, the IPO of Jagged Peak Energy, Magellan Petroleum’s stock-for-stock combination with Tellurian Investments, the sale of EE3’s North Park Basin assets to SandRidge and Southwestern’s acquisition of Appalachian assets from Chesapeake.

Max grew up in Houston, Texas, and earned a B.B.A. in Finance from the Business Honors Program and a B.A. from the Plan II Honors program at the University of Texas at Austin.
